I used to watch YouTube and search for "sleep music", "ocean waves", even "sleep hypnosis" and added a few to a playlist I would play at night. However I would get ads out of nowhere which would wake me up. My Bf got me a sound machine which plays tstorms, ocean, springs, fire in a pit- about 15 total sounds. Invest in Lavender oil and put it on nose, behind ears, temple, and wrists. I spray my linens with it as well. Also get a nice sleep mask for your eyes.

Does this shite really work? You say it's more effective than other stuff, but I'm just curious how effective it really is.

I've always done well with documentary shows. Start watching a documentary on ancient Egypt or something, low volume, and set your tv sleep timer to an hour or so...works wonders for me. And you might learn a little something in the process.

Indeed. Anything boring or to learn from that you're not interested in at all. No reality shows tho.

I have the weirdest sleep trigger mechanism. Every night at bed time I put the TV on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Within 10 minutes I'm asleep.

I have this "Dohm" white noise machine I got on Amazon for $40 that helps a lot and I listen to a low energy, non-argumentative sports podcast as I fall asleep.

I also have narcolepsy with hypersomnia which sucks

My sister has this thing called a sleep hat that's $150 but she swears by it

Half a bottle of NyQuil usually works for me. As a bonus you get some wicked dreams.

Alcohol. Bourbon is the best for a nice nightcap.

Warm milk.
