What are some examples of jobs/careers that are past their respective heydays?

Pharmaceutical sales seems like the bloom is off the rose. I've known colleagues and family members who were in the industry at some point or another that said late 80's - mid 90's was this particular career's prime.

Nursing and law seem to be over-saturated fields as well.

Any others?

Admittedly there's been a bit of a slump, but many experts are predicting a surge next quarter.

This one is actually interesting considering all the time we spend discussing automated cars.

There was a time when people were actually afraid to get on an elevator without an operator. Now the idea seems silly, just like the idiots against automated vehicles will be seen.

Thought I'd share.

I don't get the nursing comment. Seems as if there is still a real shortage in the field in many cities
