More offensive is the title to the old Westlawn plots - they included prohibition on burying colored folks there. Westlawn has changed quite a bit.
On a different note, I participated in two 5k races at Garden of Memories cemetery in Metairie, with post-race party (beer etc). Seemed weird at first, but not really for New Orleans.
