Good. Glad they're enforcing it in WM. Folks wanna act like a tPOS in public, they can haul their asses across the river to Monroe-proper, where no doubt that law is unenforceable -- not enough cops or jail space.
ETA --- Hopefully the word gets out so as to keep the idiots & riff-raff out and/or weed them out. ... Nice job, WM, looks like it's working already judging by the rustled jimmies.

It's a shame that this kid didn't work hard outside at football practice or he could have shot that old lady in the face and got the charges dropped.

That sounds like harassment of the victim complains. I can see that, but if the guy was just cursing public...frick that bull$hit.

Sounds like the elderly woman was the complainant ...
quote:
"A Louisiana man was arrested last week in West Monroe, accused of disturbing the peace by cursing near a 75-year-old woman ... The complainant said Smith was standing next to her when he yelled an expletive and "clearly disturbed her peace," the arresting deputy said in an affidavit of probable cause."

West Monroe is home of the largest Baptist church in Louisiana. Hell they own virtually all of downtown WM and in 1999 had some 10,000 members and paid out salaries of nearly 1 million dollars! Imagine what that corporation is now doing? BTW, I know this info because in 1999 I was working at the State Farm Regional Office in Munrow and saw their insurance application come through. Oh I fun with that pissing of those hollier than co-workers of mine. Yep i got written up and sent home for it and it was 100% worth it!

The type of stupid arrest you'd expect from a shithole, backwards town like West Monroe.
