Stop telling people to do this.

Someone in our group has gotten tix every year since they started it (14 total tix in 3 years).

This year = skunked

too many yahoos in the pool now

7:30 am at the leaderboard gate with a sausage biscuit and a coffee watching the dew slowly burn off the grass as the 65 degree air warms with the rising sun. Then the gate is opened to the course...

Ever feel bad about your handicap? Well guess what… You shouldn’t! Here’s an interesting fact:

80% of all golfers will never achieve a handicap of less than 18.
And if you have a -18 handicap, congrats for being on the front end of a distribution curve.

Mine went down to 14.5 with the revision yesterday The winter hit me hard I was down to 11.9 last year and got all the way up to 15.6. It's headed in the right direction now though.

I'm in trouble Saturday........Download the GHIN app and input the data. It's free and will give you a USGA handicap you can use anywhere. Those are really strong scores.

Going play tomorrow at The Wetlands with a friend. I left my driver in my bag for the whole round last time, and took about 7-10 strokes off my score. I might retire it until I can get one made with a more stiff shaft.....#nohomo

Also, just so you can an envy the frick out of me, I bought a card from a radio station in Lafayette last week. The daily deal was 4 rounds of golf and cart at 4 different courses. The bluffs, the national, squirrel run, and atchafalaya. $230 value, purchased for $110. Can't wait to use it.

Finally broke 100 a few times. I'm still trying to correct a hook that is hurting my game. Short game improving.

I also have a hook that is getting worked out. Yeah im starting to strike the ball well and moving close to low 90's. Im keeping my shoulder closed making my plane more vertical than horizontal. Play Covington CC often and trying to sneak out there today.

I hear Tchefuncta is real nice.

I have played there twice, and to be honest, the first time there I shot one of my better rounds. I suck, and rarely break 100, but I shot in low 90's which is pretty good for me. I left my drive in the bag the majority of the time and just used my irons. I hope to play well tomorrow. Weather should be on point.

I grew up playing out there. To get to the driving range from the clubhouse is like 1/4 to 1/2 mile drive in a cart

3 miles from the front gate to the course

I know what I'm doing wrong after a few lessons, just having a hard time not swinging inside out. I love it out at Tchfuncta. One of the nicest on the northshore.
