Any family friendly events going on this weekend in BR-NO area? Will have toddlers too, saw San Francisco plantation in Garyville is having a festival.

Rockin' at the Swamp (rock show with lots of kids' activities) tomorrow at BREC Bluebonnet Swamp.
I think the LASM is having an engineering day for kids too

St. Patty's parade in Metairie. Very kid friendly and always a great time.

Would this be fun for a three year old?

If you haven't been to City Park in a while, it's a great little family place to have fun for half a day or so.
There is a Morning Call for beignets and drinks
Bring bread to feed the ducks
Two play grounds
Mini amusement park
Storyland
putt putt courses
paddle boat rentals
multi person bike rentals
LINK
I wouldn't suggest the parades for kids that age unless you had a house invite or something or were willing to go early and set up.
If the park is not your thing, the aquarium, insectarium, or the zoo would be fun.

Depends on the kid and what kind of attention span they have. Theres usually a few kid friendly booths and activities. Last time I went to it there seemed to be a decent number of milfs walking around with kids.
The arenacross would probably be more exciting for the kid though
