You'll have to put something heavy over it - our Border Collie tried to dig up our Belgian Malinois for a couple of days. I took a heavy cast outdoor table, turned it upside down, and put it on top.
He was buried in a blanket. She'd dig down to the blanket and curl up on it. I'd fill it up, she'd do it again. It was heartbreaking to watch.
