They were cheap and clean compared to a traditional mattress and box spring.

Every single other thing about them sucked. Fitted sheets were impossible to stay fitted. They were too hot or too cold, too heavy, the frame was too heavy, they were hard to set up and take down, and a full motion one was impossible to sleep on alone much less with another person. Even the more expensive baffled ones didn't baffle all that well.

I didn't like getting out of them at 21. At 57, I would need a team of auto workers off of an assembly line to get me out every morning.

How did you like it?

I remember freezing my arse off first night I had it. Second night, had a woman friend over, we both got seasick. Third night, slept like a baby…

Gave new meaning to the "Motion of the ocean" saying.

i thought they were OK. Heat in winter and cool water in summer. Sex was more difficult in certain positions but helpful in others to keep rhythm and less effort.

This brought back memories. Had totally forgotten about waterbeds.

Agree with everyone here. Cold, hot, not great for sleep or sex, little improvement with baffled ones, sheets never fit, frame bulky, filling with a garden hose took a long time I think I recall, and the emptying process did too? Had to pay an extra security deposit some apartments and some wouldn't allow them.

That said we all thought they were cool. But wasn't everything we did back in the day?

I financed one fifteen years ago, just 24 more payments and it’s all mine.

Linda loves it BTW

A great example of how gullible and easily manipulated we are as consumers.
