Was the Police Officer the Most Difficult Job in 2015?

A Police Officers job places them in harms way every day. They never know what is going on with the public who they are paid to serve. They deal with criminals, liars, anger, psychopaths, hidden weapons, drugs and gangs on a moments notice. And if that is not enough they are publicly under attack by many of the same people who they are committed to serving. The criminals can purchase more powerful weapons than what they carry to defend and protect. It seems to be a job you are destined to fail at on a regular basis.

What's worse than all this are the demons from within that are born from the job itself. How can any one person be expected to endure the 24/7 abuse a police officer has to endure? How can police officers not overreact to some situations they have to deal with?

I can't think of any other local job that places a person in life-threatening, unknown circumstances in our cities and towns everyday.

Do we need to bring this vital organization of protection new defined priorities? How do we rebuild the support needed for today's fast-changing world of social media. I get the feeling the police department of today is antiquated and in need of new support. God Bless our Police Officers and the job they do each day to protect us all!

This should go well.

Oh yeah, and construction worker is a more dangerous job with less perks. So you gonna write a heart warming essay for them as well? Our infrastructure contributes to society just as much or more than law enforcement.

MOST policemen (notice I did not say all) commit more crimes than citizens so its not a very honorable position to me.

I would personally say the flight deck of an aircraft carrier. At any moments notice the tail wind of a F-18 or something equivalent will blow you the hell off the flight deck and into the ocean.

Not to mention that it is listed as one of the world's most dangerous jobs.

I recently read an article where police civil forfeiture exceeded all burglaries in 2014.

Most of them work hard and endeavor to keep their communities safe for pretty low pay. The stress resulting from tension between protecting citizens' rights and their safety is something that shouldn't be disregarded.

When I was younger I had a couple of unfortunate, frivolous traffic tickets that led me to hate all cops. Then I grew up.

Hello officer. Find a new career. You deserve no sympathy and you will get none. Stop terrorizing communities with your gang of sociopathic hs dropouts. Also can you please end the thin blue line, rampant cover-ups, and brutality? Thanks,

The victims you unjustly killed while being in harms way.
