It's kind of scary. A professor in strategic management I had at Alabama predicted all of this in 1998. We were discussing Amazon (which was just selling books at the time, and he said that one day we'd be able to place an order for our groceries on a handheld computer. And the store would deliver it. The only part that he predicted that hasn't come to fruition. He said that our refrigerators would open up to the outside and the delivery man would stock it for us.

They deliver you groceries and leave with your valuables. Win Win for the thugs that already work there.

I also love how you posted fairly innocuous black Walmart employees as if they're criminals.

It's amazing how dumb a lot of posters are.

OT: "Lazy black people should get a job."

Also OT: "Like hell I'll let those gainfully employed black people near MY place."

This is just taking lazy to a whole other level.

I wanted to beat my kids when I found out they were paying Waitr instead of picking up their own damn food.

I bet. I'd probably be upset too if my hypothetical kids' time was worth more than mine too.

So you've never ordered delivery in your life?

You fricking bigot, are you assuming his child’s worth? You can’t just put a price on some one. Very uncool. I’d like you to apologize or I’ll contact your place of employment to have you fired for being a racist

Hah, as if we'd hire a non-white, non-hetero employee. Jokes on you.

Very rarely when I was younger. Nothing with a delivery charge, though I'd tip the delivery guy a buck or two.

I can see doing it for business, but paying six bucks to have Taco Bell or Brewbachers delivered to your house is just throwing money away.

I read in an article the delivery people are going to be specially trained and wear body cams. Obviously Walmart is anticipating the potential for shenanigans and taking steps to counter that. A handful of incidents would be enough to scuttle this.

I will say I get my groceries delivered from Wall-Mart now, and it is an A+ service. They charge 7.95 to do all of your shopping and bring it to your door or your kitchen counter if you ask. Postmates has the delivery contract for Wal-Mart in my city.
