What is the purpose of limiting contractors to 35 articles.. Is the intent some type of blackmail intended to force company’s to hire these individuals full-time? Government at its finest..
Probably. Which is dumb since 35 is less than once a week. Full time journalists usually do more than that.

By the time they realize this it will be too late and the damage irreversible. Unfortunately, a large majority of these people that supported and cheered this idiocy will now move somewhere else and vote for this again.

Google is particularly screwed with the Gig-Worker Law as they employ over 120,000 contractors in California.
The music industry is moving to Nashville, New York, and New Orleans right now because of this as well.
Analysts estimate the law could add an extra 15 percent to 20 percent to the affected companies’ operating expenses.
