The new ones have 3 years/30k service on them. We've had 3 Volvos and about to get a 4th (V90XC).
03 XC70 - had a few probs after 120k...replaced most of front end suspension, but I don't blame the car. Instrument panel needed replacing and had a transmission sensor prob around 130-140k. Ended up trading it in rather than spend $2500, but wish I hadn't.
04 S60 - zero issues and loved it but too small for family.
01 XC70 - 150k and still kicking. Only routine maintenance.

A lot depends on the service department. We've used several dealerships throughout The US. All of them were exceptional except one. Hopefully you're not in BR.

Damn, the V90 is beautiful.

I think my wife will love the XC60, hopefully it's a good car for us.

Live in BSL, MS...so I think the nearest dealership is Bergerons in NOLA.

I'll also add that we looked at just about every car make/model for about 6 months before we traded the 03XC70 because my wife couldn't find one she liked. Ended up with a new 15 Highlander. She absolutely hated it after driving it a few months and cursed me many times for making her trade in her "baby".
We ended up selling the highlander and bought the 01 XC70 for $3000 to hold us over until the new V90XCs came out. We are definitely getting the new one after seeing/driving it, but will most likely keep the 01 since it is in such good condition and runs so good. Since there's no rush, we are looking at the overseas delivery program. If we can do it around my work schedule we probably will take advantage of it.

I want to pull an 8ft angle iron trailer or a small skiff (neither far at all) so the crossover works better for us than the wagon, but we'd both prefer the wagon.
