Today is Veteran's Day. Go thank the few that lay down their lives for the many. The fact that we have men and women who will put their lives on hold to go do the job of keeping this country safe is humbling and inspiring. For it is because of them that you can go about your day not looking over your shoulder and go about your night in peace.
These men and women are the bedrock of the American nation. They are the best, they are the brightest, and they are the bravest. At any moment, this country could find itself entangled in another conflict with someone who would see this great nation brought to its knees. And for over two hundred years, they have kept that wolf at bay.
From the fields of Lexington and Concord. To the forests of Bealleau-Wood and Argonne. From the sands of Normandy and Iwo Jima to the jungles of Vietnam. From the Chosin Reservoir to the streets of Fallujah. And in all the battles yet to find us, these men and these women carry the beacon of freedom. They carry it high and they carry it proud. They do this at the people's bidding, and they are the best at what they do.
Always remember, freedom is not ever going to be free. Freedom is a hard fought battle that will never end. And I will always want to be on the side of the free man going into conflict compared to the forced man. We know what we are fighting for. And we will never give up.
Happy Veteran's Day to all my brothers and sisters who have served, are still serving, or are yet to serve. God bless you and God bless the United States of America.
