It's why doctors wear masks and gloves.

A 3 year old dog with pancreatitis? I'd put it down for sure.

If you can't afford the vet, you can't afford the pet.

I put down my grampa when he got pancreatitis because the hospital bills were just too expensive for treatment.

Jesus you frickers are morons.
Never said I couldn't afford it. Just wondering if I'm getting screwed so I can change vets for the future.

The $1500 consists of visit (emergency), X-rays, blood work, pancreatic lipase, I/V, meds, week worth of prescription food, overnight stays

Oh yeah it's already done. I'd put up whatever money was needed for the little guy, I was just shocked. Was expecting $500-600

Your dog has pancreatitis at the age of 3 years old. Unless it got bit by something venomous, you either gave your dog a shite diet or it has a metabolic disorder. Either way, you're the moron if you're going to pay $1,500 for it.

Vets aren't cheap. Just this week I received an estimate for a cleaning and tooth removal and it's over $500.00.

So what was the cause? Is it a metabolic disorder or were you a tard when feeding the poor animal?
