My friend , you are at the best ski Mtn in the US....go take lessons and learn to ski. The town of Vail is also charming with great food and bars.

Not sure off the top of my head. The last rental I had I think did around 50 mph or so. That's just a factory low end unit. Some of these things are putting out ridiculous HP and will fly. I rode a friend's once which was modified and it would get up into the 80 mph range. That's fast as frick on ice or snow.
Have a look at this video to get an idea of what kind of torque and HP they put out. I've been to this spot it looks like an almost vertical climb. You'd have to be insane to try it.
