One of the biggest mistakes the Germans made was instead of concentrating on building one damn good tank, the Panther for example once it’s initial teething troubles were worked out, they instead built a dizzying array of armored vehicles. This lead, among other issues, to both logistics and maintenance nightmares for the Wehrmacht.

Have you ever built anything by model producer Rye Field Models? I am in the middle of my 1st build of one of their kits, a M-ATV MRAP and boy is it a fiddley over engineered way too many parts count kit. Its super detailed has plenty of photo etch parts( which I'm not a huge fan of), but my biggest bitch is the plastic is softer than what I used to and you have to be super careful with your files and hobby knife or you can get into trouble quick. It's a patience tryer for sure.

I’ve never built one of their kits. And like you, I’m not a fan of photo etched parts.
