What sort of chair do you have? I need a good task chair for my hobby room.

If I remember right, I found my chair at the same thrift store where I bought my desk. It’s a good comfortable chair though.

This is what I'm working on Takom 1/35th scale AH-64D Longbow Apache

Good work on the Apache. I’ve only done one helicopter and that was years ago. When my son was still at home he build a Hind-D and an Apache. I have rh both on display in my model room.

How are you liking the Takom kit? Any fit issues or anything?

This is my first Takom model and I didn't really know what to expect but the fit and finish are beautiful, has a high parts count with a lot of options, decent amount of photo etch (hate it). Being 1/35th scale it is a big bird, same scale as the tanks I build. The downside is that the instructions kind of suck, if I wasn't a helicopter mechanic in real life I would have been lost putting the swashplate and rotating controls together, and the decals are thick and don't set down well, even using micro sol and micro set. I've ordered some aftermarket decals to replace the originals.

This sounds encouraging.

I’m the same way. I hate working with photo etch parts. But it seems all the newer kits are coming with more and more of them.

That’s a big strike for me. Nothing more frustrating than vague or poorly drawn instructions.

That’s another strike. I’m surprised to hear they have such bad quality decals. If Micro sol & set doesn’t work on them they’ve got to be pretty thick.

They do have some armor kits I’m interested in getting though. Think I’ll look at some reviews of those particular kits to see if they have the same issues.

Thanks for the info. When you’re done with your Apache I’d love to see it.

Thanks, I added some kits but I do like the kit you linked and will get that one.

Thanks, Darth.
