More like 4-5 seconds, if it was stock. But point taken. There are some monster cars there that would destroy a stock one from 100-150. There are quite a few that pull 100-150 in the 2s but none of them are close to stock (1500 or more to the wheels).

The ZX-9R was as fast bike, and most cars can't come close. But twenty years on, there's lighter bikes making almost double the power. Yeah, there are some really fast cars, but unless you're in supercar or hypercar power levels, you can't hang with a large displacement sportbike.
And then you can just get or build a turbo Hayabusa and pretty much no car this side of a Bugatti or Koenigsegg is giving you any trouble in a straight line.

I think we should be able to agree both the rider and driver are pricks (or much worse) for driving those speeds on public highways.

I would imagine as more electric cars make it to the market the gap will get even narrower. A Model S can already do pretty well and it isn't exactly built for drag racing.

Doing that on the street is about as dangerous as wiping your butt with a broke beer bottle.
