Anyone who is good at one could be good at the other. Throwing motion and serving are very similar motions in terms of body and shoulder rotation. I mean I was lucky enough to have the natural feel of throwing a ball so it came natural..which of course lead for absolutely nothing and I amounted to nothing with this. But...I was a 4.5 tennis player for a few years in mixed doubles!!!!! Sooo...there's that.

Agassi !
Nearly 30 years ago one of the guys that played tennis for USL, worked with us at a local country club, told us a story about Agassi. He said he was a great tennis player and his parents sent him to the Bollettieri Academy his senior year to further his game. He admitted that he was getting big headed and thought he was going to be a pro tennis player one day. Well his coach told him he was going to bring in this kid (14 yrs old) to play against him. He had heard that the kid had beaten people on the money tour but he said there was no way a 14 year old was going to beat him, he was 19 at the time. During the first game he said he knew he would have to go to school to get a degree to get a job b/c this kid was whipping his arse up and down the court. He realized that the 14 year old would go on to be a pro and he would go on to live a regular life like the rest of us. Then he told us the kids name was Andre Agassi. He said Agassi beat him like a dog in every facet of the game. He was about 6'2'' at the time and he said the kid was maybe 5'7''
