Agreed. We kept rates artificially low for almost 15 years.

Over the past 100 years, when inflation rises above 5% it typically dips back below 5% by year 3, so this would be the year that history suggests it goes back down.
However, 1973-1975 and 1977-1981 both took longer than 2ish years to go from above 5% to back below 5%.
