Yes it is
Trespassing is a crime. They absolutely knew and had witnessed him committing crimes, and somehow you dispute this while also posting proof that you're aware of it:

Both times they saw Arbery enter the house, nothing was ever stolen

Yeah, this scenario would have resulted in a life sentence as well
Based on the legal interpretation used in this case, then yeah I guess it would have. That's the problem.

Wrong

And I don’t call walking through a house under construction a crime
Ok, but trespassing is a crime whether you call it one or not.

Neither would I, but it's still not a felony.
Which apparently means you, as a citizen, can't stop people from trespassing on your property and would be guilty of murder if your attempt to stop them led to their deaths.
Well, at least in Georgia.

Wrong
I guess we could assume the jury wouldn't find the homeowner guilty in that scenario, but that doesn't change the fact that it would be the same set of circumstances (attempting to detain someone you witnessed commit a "non-felony").

Why do you care so much? The utter obsession with the left/right bull shite is a mental illness.
Yea politics doesn’t have anything to do with this trial.
If Ahmaud was white or the shooters were black this would have been a side note on page 10.
I dare you to try to challenge that fact. You can’t and you won’t because you know this case has everything to do with race despite no evidence that it has anything to do with race.

They KNEW he had committed crimes in their area and had witnessed it previously.
What crimes did they have direct knowledge of?

And the shooters wouldn't be doing life in prison and never would have gotten federal charges.

Trespassing. As has been stated multiple times.

Again, the idea that you can hold someone at gunpoint every time you see them because you know they've committed crimes in the past is fricking idiotic.

The case got attention because it was initially covered up by the local DA(s).

McMichael deserves to do life, he committed murder.

So trespassing is justification for making a citizens arrest/ holding someone at gunpoint? What about littering?

Why? That's exactly what the police do. The police are not better than you are.

This guy argued a few pages back that not allowing people to perform armed citizens arrests before a felony occurs promotes lawlessness.

I have no problem with a citizen holding anyone for a crime they witness. Laws shouldn't only be as strong as the police response time.
