Urban avalanches 3-3 in Juneau

There are around 11 avalanche paths in the downtown area. On occasion the State will do avalanche control using an old howitzer as they did today. It's pretty cool, the gun is about a mile from my place and you can hear the shot and watch the result. There were two avalanches today, one planned and one natural. The Thane Rd avalanche was a planned shot, but it still cuts off a road from downtown.

Second was a natural avalanche above the High School and Behrands neighborhood. City is trying to buy the people out as this neighborhood has been destroyed before.

I do. They're selling In quantity (relatively) their own ice cream now. Some really good eateries have popped up the past couple of years.

No worries. He's got a good business right near the Federal Bldg. Really good products.
