I just thought about something. Where you are, you may find a use for the WAAY31 weather App. They are out of Huntsville and just unveiled 3 new radar sites last year. One is located in the Shoals and would give you pretty good coverage with basic radar.

That one in McLain is a pretty good rotation.

There are a couple areas in that storm that could be rotating. Neither look that strong at the moment.
The northern rotation may get going.

Yea that would be a lot better
Forgive me idk how this stuff works, why wouldn’t that radar be available on RadarScope yet? Does it only use NWS radars and this is a private radar or something?

Yeah, RadarScope primarily uses government radars. Occasionally I’ve seen them include non-NWS radars, such as a shorter range radar at a university, but it is rare.

Yeah, this one belongs to the news channel. They now have three in addition to the NWS radars. They have the one in the Shoals, one in Huntsville, and one on Sand Mountain. I absolutely despise their news team and most of their weather office, but I like their app now.
You can just download it, turn off all the notifications, and use it when you need a better look at radar.
