A 10 mph wind would do more than that ball. Must be a union worker in the crane.

It's pretty windy today but form the Northwest so the building is leaning into the wind. The wind is helping prop it up.

They are apparently only trying to demo the top 2 levels today. They aren't going to knock the entire thing down at once. And the wrecking ball is 5600 lbs and the biggest they can use with the crane they have on site.

They don't reach to the height needed and have to sit to close to a damaged structure for safety
