Why get tested? Or report to anyone that you were sick at all?

Depending on your job. Some bosses will expect you to work even if sick. But they'll excuse you for Covid.

Exactly. People saying “just stay home if you’re sick”.

That has never been the American work culture. You’re expected to work sick and if you take a sick day or two your boss thinks you’re lying.

Just as a follow up to my post, it appears we have turned the corner on the latest run. The cars were a 100 deep all last week, Monday it was down to 60 or 70 at any one time. The couple of days after that 30 to 50, and then today I counted when I went to lunch and it was 15 which is what it has been pretty much all day. On to the next variant I guess.

The only people who should get tested are those that are very sick.

How does that help anyone?

It helps if you're wanting to possibly get the Monoclonal shots as you can't get it without testing positive to my knowledge.

what I've learned in the pandemic is there is a reason in the movies where this is a zombie virus you never see FEMA rushing in to save the day, you just see abandoned FEMA tents as the viewer basks upon the failures of government

its because, and we all know it, the government trying to play hardball with a virus is a futile effort. This is why everyone is moving on with their life, there is nothing to be done in regards to this virus.
