Yep. What makes it a bit more complicated than Georgia is that there are four main Churches in Ukraine: UOC-Moscow Patriarchate, UOC-Kyivan Patriarchate, the autocephalous UOC, and the UGCC. The latter three have been assisting with the protests and the government has threatened to shut them down. And while the latter two mainly exist with the ethnic Ukrainians, the UOC-KP has a sizable part of the Russians.
Also, there's the Holodomor, or the Soviet genocide of the ethnic Ukrainians by starvation in the 30s.

Oh wow, what a mess. South Ossettia could just be cut out from what I had extrapolated but it sounds like this wouldn't be a clean cut even if the Ukraine wanted it

I really wish I knew Ukrainian so I could understand the words to the songs they're singing. Pretty fricking awesome.

About half have been religious hymns. The rest are a mix of nationalistic songs, stuff from the Orange Revolution, and some soccer songs.
