This authorization basically legalizes these units, which are paid by the pro-government businessmen and shoot people with traumatic guns. They are basically creating a thug army to fight against the protesters. These people are totally OK with shooting their own neighbors and countrymen for $25-$50 a day.
Donetsk special forces broke the blockade in a small village, where they were dislocated and are moving towards Kiev (are in Kiev probably)
More and more activists are missing.

Spilna Sprava (Community Cause), a militant splinter of Euromaidan, occupied and later evacuated the Ministry of Justice after Justice Minister Olena Lukash threatened to push for imposing a state of emergency. On 27 January, the Ministry of Defense announced sharp pay raises for military personnel, and the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a secret resolution to increase the size of the Berkut & Gryffon force sixfold to 30,000; they would also be given more power and a reserve fund would be set aside for additional ammunition. The Ministry of Justice then ordered the legalization of vigilante "civic patrols", which would apply to titushky. The government was reportedly planning to close off 30 streets in Kiev, with the Cabinet preparing to introduce martial law.

Interesting concession by the government. They're not giving much up- how could the law be enforced? - and now the pressure is on the activists. Do they go home with the law repealed? Will we see Molotov cocktails come out for their other demands, like joining the EU agreement or returning to the 2004 constitution? The Maidan movement was flagging before the protest law brought everyone out onto the streets. What will happen now?

What is new guys, I have had to work and take care of other things. I know we are waiting to see what happens today with the Ukrainian Parliament's decision, but what is going to happen after. As a Marine who fought to try to liberate a people who didn't want it, this is hard to watch. I had friends lose their lives for a fight not worth fighting, whereas they would have gladly laid down their lives for this cause and nothing is being done by our government. I want to see justice served and a corrupt government overthrown for right reasons. This better end today. Yanukovich needs to step down if he really cares about his country and his people, if he doesn't then he is nothing but a Putin puppet.
