According to some in this thread, all criminals are illiterate retards who are too dumb to know that Uber drivers don't carry cash or that booking a cab leaves a phone trace. But it's open season on Uber drivers because of oppressive liberals!

You clearly do not know how Uber works. Let's do the worst case scenario here: I am an Uber driver, I pick a guy up, and then I'm later raped and killed by the guy. All Uber has to do is see exactly who I picked up, look up their credit card number and billing address, have the cops show up to his place to arrest him, and then he gets the chair. You couldn't leave a bigger paper trail behind if you tried. It is really as if you buy a product using your own credit card in Target, and then hold up the place knowing it has absolutely no cash money in it. There is no motive to rob an Uber.

I guess this system is so air tight that it is impossible to assault or harm an Urber driver. Police will save you.

I don't think anyone in this thread has argued that being an Uber Driver is the safest job in America. But, the logic used to argue against the gun-free rule is paranoid absurdity.

I have used it several times in NYC and Miami. It has been awhile.
I did not like it. Their rates where higher than the taxi cabs. Uber woukd jack up their rates in minutes. Uber is not my first choice.
