I guess you could say what I do is customer service. Basically after a company buys Cat machines they’re assigned a PSSR (product support sales rep). This rep maintains the relationship with the customer. They do things like undercarriage management, bucket and GET (ground engaging tools) management, repair estimates, maintenance and total cair contracts, dispute resolution, and things of that nature. Where I fit in is I coordnate with those PSSRs and Caterpillar to ensure Cat’s product support goals are met. Basically I manage the money that comes from Cat to the dealer to fund all the sales programs the dealer PSSRs use to sell Cat’s parts and services.

You’re not big enough for a PSSR. PSSRs are assigned to larger customers. Usually the smallest customer to warrant having a PSSR relationship will have at least five or so machines and doing at least $20,000 in parts and services annually. That’s a minimum.
