I apologize, I posted this on the Travel Board, too, but it's so damn funny.
I am researching a trip next Summer, leaving Metro New Orleans on Memorial Day. My graduating son wants to go west to do the Grand Circle Route and Four Corners.
I'm looking on websites and such just to gauge drive times and what have you, so as to get across north Texas I looked for gits and shiggles as to how long it would take to get to Amarillo, Texas.

Here's a sample itinerary for a drive from New Orleans to Amarillo. If you're planning a road trip to Amarillo, you can research locations to stop along the way. Find the best restaurants, hotels, and attractions based on the most talked about places recommended by Trippy members. Eventually, you'll be able to customize every detail of this plan to your own preferences and save this as a private trip.
Day 1, 9:00 am: start in New Orleans drive for about 1.5 hours
Day 1, 10:27 am: Baton Rouge stay for about 1 hour and leave at 11:27 am drive for about 1.5 hours
Day 1, 1:00 pm: Mamou stay for about 1 hour and leave at 2:00 pm drive for about 3 hours
Day 1, 5:00 pm: Shreveport stay for about 1 hour and leave at 6:00 pm drive for about 1.5 hours
Day 1, 7:44 pm: Tyler stay overnight and leave the next day around 9:00 am
You don't go THROUGH Mamou to ANYWHERE. LMAO

You can enter an exact street address if you want to get precise directions, but this is optional.

Your reading comprehension sucks. If you haven't gotten boudin from T-Boys slaughterhouse in Mamou, then you don't know what you're missing.
