I just did this myself.
Gave them info about how loyal a customer (X number of years) I was and how crappy their internet service has been over the past six months.

After putting me on hold to see “what she could do”, the initial offer was only 20 dollars off per month for two years. I told them that is nowhere near close to what other providers offer, I was then put on hold again. My monthly bill was then locked in for $63 less per month with no price increases for 12 months. I also got a 30 dollar courtesy discount on next month’s bill for crappy internet service I told them I had. I asked what happens after 12 months and she said the normal mill will resume and I should call them to “re-evaluate” A tech will be out to look and find nothing wrong.
