It's beyond me. I was waiting yesterday and some chick would literally pick up her phone every minute and a half, come to a complete stop, text something, then start back. Sometimes she wouldn't even get back to her desired speed before stopping again. I wanted to ask her why she even showed up????

Lifetime?

I don't even do cardio this time of year just to avoid those types. I'll just step up the intensity of my lifting a bit. Supersets, shorter breaks.

I hate to see people waste their time on elliptical machines. For the time it takes, you get the least benefit from it compared to anything else in the gym. I see people who spend and hour on them, but can't even jog to their car.
My wife is one of them and she refuses to listen. I try to tell her that you can get a better workout in 15 minutes of climbing stairs than you'll ever get on an elliptical, but she doesn't care.

I think it's crazy how many people go to the gym to just use the treadmill. So much nicer to just run outside. I absolutely hate the treadmill.

And the only reason I ever ride a stationary bike or get on my bike trainer is because I won't ride outside in the dark.

I get if you are working out and then want to do 20 minutes of cardio, but showing up just to use those machines seems dumb to me.

If you want to walk at an incline it doesn't do you much good to raise the lift of the treadmill then just hold on to the front and lean your body back to cancel out all the incline you just put in the machine.

This is always great. You see people crank the machine to like 7+ mph, max the incline, then hold on for dear life while they essentially dangle and occasionally touch the treadmill.
