12 days is a lot for India. I'd cut back to 7.

Just traveling between those places eats a lot of time.
For one thing, do not believe Google Maps for travel times, especially between Jaipur and Delhi, unless that situation has changed.

Have any OTers that weren't already good friends gotten together and traveled? Might be fun to have a travel club and save some costs for us solo travelers.

Always drink mineral water. Do not drink the water there at all. With young children there is a high likelihood they will get sick regardless, so I would keep some pepto bismol handy at all times.
Pepto is a must. Bringing the tablets and take one every day before you start the day at the very least.
I got a lot of advice to avoid greens and dairy products, which I ended up avoiding unless eating at a nice hotel.
Speaking of, I was there during offseason, so I was able to score Trident hotels in Jaipur and Agra ($69) for cheap.
Maybe I'll go back and stay at a Taj property some day.
I'll add, Udaipur was very cool with the lake and all.
ETA: Be prepared to be stared at constantly.

I met a fellow poster in Barcelona for the LSU/ND bowl game, but that's about it.

Wonder if that is something we can get going. I hate the extra money I have to shell out when I am solo traveling.

What time of year? If you're going to go in the summer and can make it, Dharamsala is awesome. (summer because it's so much cooler there than everywhere else we went). it is (or was when I went) sort of a PITA to get to, though, but worth it.
ETA, since it's not that far from Jaipur, the blue city and Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur are really cool as well.

Kanchanaburi is the site of the famous "bridge on the river Kwai". There are some nice restaurants and scenery near the bridge, plus some party cruises. The Dheva Mantra is an amazing resort there that I highly recommend. Also go to Ayutthaya and see the ancient ruins while riding an elephant. Thailand is fun as hell. India? Weeeeellllll.......

I think it would be difficult. Lots of things going against you.
1) LA site already lowers the pool of possible travel partners
2) Average income in this state is low, so ability to even go shrinks further.
3) Then you have to match up dates
4) Then you hit the whole "back out" problem
That's why the larger travel websites work. On those, someone else has already decided to go between X and X date so they are locked in.
Your best bet here is just post where you are going and maybe someone who will be there at the same time will see it. That's how I met the poster in Barcelona.
