Travel from NOLA to Houston

I'm leaving now with an infant in tow. Im planning on taking 90 to I-49 to 190 to 165 down to Iowa then get back on 10. Anyone on the road have a better plan? Looks like 10 west is a cluster from BR to Crowley. Thanks.

Took US90 to I10 by Laffy yesterday without issues

My cousin used waze app yesterday to show the closed roads around Lafayette and new Iberia. Said it worked well.
