Trash collection?

Does anyone know when east Baton Rouge parish will start collecting the debris/trash from people gutting their homes? Everything that was once IN my house is now on my front lawn. EBR has always done a great job with trash collection so I'm sure it won't take them long to get started, but it's so much, hopefully they pickup additional trucks from out of state to come help.

The government will be bringing in many additional resources. This is way beyond capabilities of normal services

When we had all the tornadoes here a few years back, FEMA contracted dump trucks and hired people to go around collecting the downed trees and debris and hauling them off to the landfill.

It took a while after Gustav just to collect the tree limbs. We had a pile for a few weeks. I can imagine this is going to take longer just because of the sheer devastation

They just said on WBRZ that Edwards was meeting yesterday to discuss how to get roadside trash picked up ASAP
