Depends on the potential for long term effects of injury from the accident and the level of medical costs and property loss. I' ve never been a tort lawyer but if your nephew had right of way this should be pretty cut and dry. I would not accept the first offer

I think he was just making a joke because motorcycles are dangerous AF & in most cases, mega-douches.

I’d be curious to see what, if anything, OP has said about personal injury lawyers in the past. This may be one of those cases where every other claim is frivolous except his nephew’s. You just hate when that happens
