I have ZERO intention or desire to visit NOLA. Why would I?

In defense of New Orleans - that area has not been good since the late 1960s

I grew up in this area (1980s through early 2000s) and there were always shootings - the media just didn’t put it in your face like they do now

walks in front of the Zulu den all of the time and has never had someone shoot at him.

I will say this.... Every spring I go on a bike pub crawl with about 40 other people and our last stop is at the Zulu headquarters and those people are freaking awesome. Our group is 99% white and they welcome us with great food and a small band. There is even a lady who usually comes out and wraps tape around all of our bikes and seems to stand out by them to make sure none get stolen.

I feel bad for all of the good people who live in that area and are having to deal with this crap.

The people doing the shooting and killing don't fear consequences with Williams as the DA.
you think they feared Cannizzaro or Eddie Jordan?

Planning a friend's bachelor party... NOLA was suggested as one of the potential locations. I laughed and said hell no. Not going anywhere near that shithole unless it's to see family on the north shore.

That video is crazy. Went to a lot of concerts, Saints games, BCS championship game in 2007, etc. Having spent a ton of money there over the years, frick you teedy, and from now on:

I went to Mardis Gras in the latter 80's, rented a motorhome and parked on Canal. First night, there was a shooting and a separate gang fight resulting in a stabbing within two blocks of where we parked.

Its always been a shithole, they just covered it up better for the tourists.

There HAS to be a few Confederate statues still standing in New Orleans. How else do you explain this?

Yes, and believe me some parts of ATL are no better than NOLA.
