Legal fentanyl is fine as long as taken as prescribed. What’s killing everyone is the shite that’s cooked up in some underground lab that has no accuracy to the dosing and people end up cutting dope with it or just selling straight fetnanyl powder.

I’m a pharmacist, it’s only 4 drugs and it’s drugs that many patients are on in this country assuming these were all legally prescribed.
Citalopram is an antidepressant and not a controlled substance.
alprazolam (Xanax) is a benzodiazepine for anxiety with a 6 to 8 hour half life
Temazepam (restoril) is a benzodiazepine strictly for sleep. zolpidem (ambien) isn’t a benzodiazepine but it works in the body in the exact same manner so that wouldn’t have been a much better option.
The fentanyl patches break down in the body to those 2 other forms of fentanyl that were listed in the OP so he wasn’t taking 3 different fentanyls.
Oxycodone could have been OxyContin (time released), roxicodone (immediate release) or Percocet (oxycodone and Tylenol combination), they would all show up as oxycodone in the tox screen.
I wish they would go back to only allowing fentanyl to be prescribed for cancer and hospice patients because it is the easiest drug to abuse by causing the patches to defect and it’s the absolute strongest opiate on the market.

It's scary how bad things are getting with fentanyl abuse. We've lost Prince, Tom Petty, and (rumored) Dolores O'Riordan in the span of a couple years to it.

Place your bets now: which one of the remaining Traveling Wilburies goes first?
Jeff Lynne? (downvote)
or
Bob Dylan? (upvote)

He just had too much Florida in him (and fentanyl).

That's odd, because Rock Stars rarely OD.

Why not just say coroner?
In many places the coroner does not have to be a physician, in some places it is can even be a elected position.

Janis Joplin agrees with this.

You think Tom Petty had to have a scrip to get all that shite?
Yes? He probaby had a guy write him all the scrips. It's not like he was going to a family practice.

Why can't people just rock and roll moderately? Maybe sip some scotch. Live to 90. What's wrong with that?
