Doesnt make much sense that you dont get top notch coverage as a nurse.

Why's that? Should nurses get better health care than anyone else?

Its the insurance provider our hospital HR department has chosen (United Healthcare). I don’t get special coverage cause I work in a hospital.

That and AZ isn’t a state that mandates fertility coverage so they don’t have to cover it.

Considering Skillet goes to bed every night no later that 8:00 pm, I'm going with 2 PM.

It’s interesting that people assume that medical professionals would not be under/uninsured. The opposite is true.

Yeah, but it doesn't cover IUIs, IVF, and all of the required medicine, so it's pretty fricking worthless.

La. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 22:1036 prohibits the exclusion of coverage for the diagnosis and treatment of a medical condition otherwise covered by the policy, contract, or plan, solely because the condition results in infertility. The law does not require insurers to cover fertility drugs, in vitro fertilization or other assisted reproductive techniques, reversal of a tubal litigation, a vasectomy, or any other method of sterilization. that isnt true. health care workers get great rates on health care stuff, surgeries and whatnot. they are just all religious for tax purposes thus they dont give contraceptives or womens health stuff. but you can get a great deal on an orthopedic surgery.

Really?

But that is fertility treatments. So what do they cover? Clomid? Ridiculous

Hell even my insurance covered all of my IUIs at 80%. They just don’t cover IVF or the meds or any other fertility treatments.

I was happy that if did at least cover all my progesterone injections. Only paid $20 copay for 6 vials of it(30 doses).

They covered the doctor consultation?

I don't really know exactly, but I know we paid for all that shite out of pocket.

Not at the hospital I work for. I don’t know what hospital you are talking about. I never got discounted care at any of the several hospitals I’ve worked at. Basically just at the mercy of whatever insurance you have.

I paid copays for all that. $40 copay to see him for consult like any other specialist.

Paid $50 copay for any time I needed ultrasound or HSG or other testing usually. All my IVF ultrasounds including in the $$$ we paid to the clinic for the cycle. Labs were all covered.

I was referred to a geneticist cause of what my brother and sister have. Insurance covered 100% of my labs for all that. Including labwork that was brand new technology and usually cost 5k cause it was so new.

Is this an assumption? If not, then what brings you to this conclusion?
