For those who thought my previous post on the subject was merely an isolated event.

Non-magnet schools are filled with shithead kids and the school board refuses to do anything about it

I just don't understand why the people in St. George want a new school district.

If only they had just let St. George form its own school district, then this whole city ordeal wouldn't have happened. But nooo, RACISM!

EBR schools (non-magnet) are total shite. Teachers are not at fault- teachers said so. Students are complete animals who know they won't be failed b/c EBR School System is passing them regardless. Surprising # of students cited in report seem to be of a non-white persuasion. Many teachers are getting ready to bail. BR is fricked educationally.

You oughtta try teaching in one of those classrooms. They could swap that out for waterboarding as an effective means of torture.

There are two absurd policies that appear to be coming from the Superintendent Bernard Taylor’s office.

The first one is only murderers or kids who bring explosives, discharge guns or bring illegal drugs to school can be expelled. All other violations must be tolerated, repeatedly. The second policy EBR is promoting is that children have no responsibility for making their grades or passing their classes. Teachers must do everything they can push, pull or drag kids to pass their classes. In practical terms this means tests are given over and over until a student “passes” and “extra credit” must be created and awarded to whatever extent is possible to ensure students pass their classes.

Sad. Thug kids are allowed to run wild, they become thug parents, cycle continues unless something changes...

But SG will make their own policies that they see fit for their community that could possibly combat these actions. Local community control and involvement is the key, but SG can't have that as long as EBRSB is in control.

That's part of the training for new teachers in EBR.

You have to watch it 8 times in a row the Saturday before school starts.

I know, I know. And, like you said in the other SG thread, if only SG can be allowed to have its own school district, a cure for cancer will be found.
