Just information. Dark tint on police cars is in the same thought process as running th engine when it's not occupied but on duty. Sensitive computer and emergency accessories as well as weapons. Computer screens must be obscured because of the sensitive information they display. Heat kills computers and damages other equopment when running.. That's spelled out by the state and federal providers.
When you see a police car there's probably 10k to 20k worth of equipment inside or attached. Policing is an expensive business that generates no revenue. Fines for arrests, summons and tickets generally go to the court system.

What if you cause an accident. Would illegal tint be considered negligence? It sure seems like the ambulance chasers would pin that on you and the shop who did the tint.

I know of 2 people that were stopped for illegal tint and were made to remove most of it on the spot. I get very nervous when extremely tinted windowed car pulls up next to me at a traffic light. It is trashy to me.

I said 70% on my windshield. I want 25% on my side windows bc the shade and reduced glare is nice, plus privacy. Why you wanna look in my truck so bad?
