Meanwhile in LA we still have cinder tracks around the football fields and no A/C in the gyms.

It wasn't the fault of the GC. They just followed the specifications of the job. PBK Structural Engineers were found to have under designed the structural design. Their in house quality control did not do adequate oversight of the design vs load requirements and the flaws slipped through the cracks and were approved for construction. Pogue GC probably could have litigated and born no financial liability but it appears that they decided to take on a partnership rather than adversarial role to remediate the issues. Probably to avoid the PR nightmare that would have ensued.

But the point is that it was not a GC error. It as a SE error that caused the issues.

I would put Frisco isd against any school district in the country. Education, sports, facilities are all top notch. Money plays a large part of this, but more importantly is the community cares about the right things.

You can swap Frisco with Allen, Plano and McKinney but I agree.

You couldn't be more right. I went to what was considered a "nice" school in my parish, and it looks like a school from a 3rd world country compared to the schools in Austin.

Just wondering when Louisiana will get its shite together.
