Can you see what you are asking is ridiculous? You want the entire country to have a massive overhaul to fix what I think we both can consider a terrible but infrequent problem. The problem needs to be fixed, but asking to reform the entire government is ludicrous.

So if your unwilling to add any extra gun control laws and unwilling to pay an additional taxes for more policing or mental health, then what? You’re okay that there are mass shootings? If it happens tomorrow to your child/sibiling/relative, you will just shrug your shoulders and say “eh, nothing could have been done”?

I'm not sure if the shooter bought the gun that day or soon before the shooting but I'd imagine most of these shooters buy them and practice well before. It's not an easy solution. Like I said, I wouldn't be opposed to raising the age to 21 but I'm not sure how many of these that would prevent. Maybe this one but I can't think of another.

At least you’re offering an attempt at a solution. That’s more than most. I don’t know how you can ask an 18 year old to go to war, but he can’t buy a rifle when he is back home though. But I think the same thing about the drinking age.

I just think there needs to be some type of attempt to reduce the number of school shootings we have. Because it has become a pandemic just in America and I have yet to see any real attempt to resolve the problem.

I have a problem with that too but I also feel that most of those young adults don't represent the maturity of the average 18yr old.

I would also like to see certain teachers be trained and allowed to have a gun in their classroom locked up.

The mere possibility that 2 or 3 teachers may be packing might be enough of a deterrent to scare some of these wackos away from targeting schools.

What differentiates a “semi assault rifle” from other rifles. Please be as specific as possible. Thanks.

We had that at my bussed in School Valley Park junior high in the late 70s as part of the first test integration in Baton Rouge. Still saw my first knifing when I was 12, and Place was scary than a juvenile hall
