The kind that no longer cares about their employees. I finally called in sick when I was running a fever and could barely walk. When I called in sick the charge nurse asked if I could maybe just take some Dayquil and still come in and work to avoid getting points

that is damn crazy. I worked at a hospital in TX for a year and it was the exact opposite. If I looked like I was about to get sick the director would tell me to go home and rest.

Yeah everyone hates it. Including my nursing director. It's not their policy....it's from the a-hole hospital administrators. I think it's because there were some people that abused calling out. Because of those jerks, now everyone is being punished.
They don't even care why you are calling out now, you will get points. Your mother could be on her deathbed in another state and you call off that week to go be with her before she dies....you are getting points for it(I know because this happened to a nurse in another department). So many points is a verbal warning, then a written warning, then you are fired. A social worker on another floor had too many points. She tried clocking in one day and her badge wouldn't work. She was then informed she no longer worked there because of too many points.

Terd...I've never had problems with BB, that's my girl...she is always on the list of posters I always make time to see IRL whenever I'm visiting LA(well not anymore that she lives in AL)
