I understand the excerpts he quoted. Wealth is not finite therefore having a smaller percentage of the wealth at 35 years old now vs 35 year olds decades ago doesn't mean you're worse off necessarily. It could just as likely suggest the greatest generation wasn't the best of earners or savers.
