Employees of the national organization come down and recruit from the people who rushed this past year and did not get a bid.

I wandered into a DKE party when i was in 11th grade. The house was a pigsty. Not much furniture, hay and trash all over the floor and there was a tub or something in the bathroom full of brown liquid that smelled like rotten beer.

They don’t own the land. They had a 99yr lease on the land. They own the house.

You sure about that.? . I know we all leased the land from lsu… but always heard they were the only frat that actually owned their land…we owned our house but not land.

South seas is gone.. as is jam jam and all the other traditions you are referencing.. they may think they are having an old school multi frat function but lsu would not let anything like that happen now..

They will restart by having alumni rush and manage things for a few years as they bring on new members.. usually perk provided .. early opportunity to live at house etc.. also may have member transfer in from other universities.

Point was to change to attitudes of the chapter.. I think it was more than just lsu wanting that.. they had taken. A bad path and from what I recall they definitely needed a reboot.. it is not that uncommon. A few bad apples took them to dark places.
