reside in Texas, as countless of you were nothing less than sterling. Am hesitant to cite any in particular but supernovasky and Impotent Tiger....wow....best play by play and boots on the ground. Am convinced they, and others, saved others from even more horrific moments.

Merci beaucoup

Please add wickowick, vetteguy, redfish2010 and their friend. They mobilized to help rescue my elderly parents from their home in Denham Springs and countless others all over the affected area throughout this ordeal. I'm amazed at how great an impact they have had on our community.

Special place in heaven is reserved for them.

While they were headed to rescue your parents I couldn't help but think how many people could have been in a worse situation if wasn't for sites like this one. The whole ordeal was intense just reading what you were going through.

Appreciate the props but no need. I wish everyone affected by this terrible event, the best of luck in your recovery efforts. For those of you still in harms way, my prayers and thoughts are with you.

Thanks a ton, so glad I was able to help. Impotent and many others were great help as well. We all worked together on this one folks - I couldn't have done anything without you guys and gals sending me info about your locales. It was the early poss about honey cut that really made the point on how bad backwater flooding would be.

Thanks. Wink. They are getting settled at my brother's for now. My dad doesn't understand why he can't go home. He just wants to go home and sleep in his bed. We tried telling him he might have to share that bed with gators and snakes, but he was not to be deterred.

We're going in the 26th to help with clean up and see if anything can be salvaged. Will be so happy to see my parents, not so much looking forward to the mess that awaits us.

You know, when I tell people that there is absolute brilliance on TD in the OT Lounge, people don't believe me at first. Then, when something big is going on, they come on here and are hooked. Still got a guy that's amazed that the OT was ahead of the media on the Boston Marathon Bombing and he listened to the BPD as they captured the guy hiding in the boat.
As always, well done with the newest event.
