Could be any of those, all of them, some combined, or none at all.
It's speculation. Mental masturbation.
Pointless to argue something you can't provide evidence for much less prove.
All interesting points to consider, though.

I’m a Great Silence believer. I think we are pretty lowly on the universal scale

it’s the last one
there will be no FTL travel, and the distances are far too great otherwise
we may not be alone, but we may as well be

what you see with your naked eye is as far as we will go

Well if they're reading the OT and Poli board I'd agree.

How about this...

Maybe it's not possible to travel long distances across space.

In order for the travel to be feasible, you'd have to have a space craft that can dart away in an instant. Or you'd have to travel through some kind of wormholes or something.

What if these things just are not possible?

So even if there are other planets with intelligent life and they have their own space craft, they are not able to go very far or send signals very far, just like us.

Or maybe it's the opposite.

As unlikely as it is, is it not possible we are near the top of the advanced species out there?

Why is there always the idea that aliens out there are more advanced? Maybe we are the advanced aliens to them.

It’s also highly possible if life exists elsewhere that it is not as advanced or intelligent as us.

They could be cavemen living on another planet. It’s possible we are the most advanced technologically and we won’t have contact with other life until we figure out how to travel to distant planets

Out of the billions of planets there has to be a few that will sustain life. They could be exactly like us and we wouldnt know. I dont believe in the highly advanced aliens.

The vastness of space is very hard to grasp. There could be 100s or 1000s of planets with life and we may never know it.
