Which is the reason the cab service in BR doesn't really warrant growth
It's not cost effective to add more cabs for the short period of time that they are overloaded

. Those are the ones that end up waiting for a cab for an hour, say frick it and drive their truck home and get pulled over at a checkpoint making the city of EBR lots of money in fines therefore justifying the revenue generators that are Checkpoints.

Hence why UBER is the solution.

It's the public's fault that there are 150 cabs servicing a metropolitan area with upwards of 1 million people?
Sorry your company sucks dick. This is America. When a business sucks dick another business can come in and do a better job.

I don't see much inventive for uber to attract drivers but that's to be seen I guess

it has apparently worked elsewhere. What factors unique to BR make you think it wont work here...besides police and civil corruption and backroom deals between the taxi commission?

BR is a commuter town for the most part
It also seems to have an aversion to alternative transportation

It doesnt justify any sort of unionized full time cab service, yes. UBER will end up causing severe reform to the way the cabs here work or will end them completely.

Philadelphia is mostly a commuter city, and UBER works great there. Same thing with Miami.

I guess thats why everyone is so psyched for UBER except the cabbies...because they secretly hate it and are trying to double reverse juju them out of business?

What is your career. I don't want to knock or bash you on it I want to make a point about UBER
What does it matter? You offer a service. You now have a competitor offering a similar service that is more reliable and at a cheaper rate. Does it matter if we are talking about cab drivers, plumbers, doctors or attorneys?

Ok I will use any career as example.
Let's take a pharmicsist. He went to school, paid for his licensing and pays yearly to renew it. He is also checked by the board every year to make sure he is holding true to his profession and not doing illegal things.
You now have a company come in from another state and say hey download this app and get your RX here by a random person who hasn't put in the time or money to legally do this profession.
Is that fare to the Pharmicist who put the time in paid back his student loans and also has to pay yearly fees.

Your spelling and grammar is painful.
Yes, in your example, that is fair.

Holy shite, you just compared a taxi driver to a licensed pharmacist.

Well that's a sure way of getting business. "It's not that we suck at getting to you, it's that you suck." Great way to stay ahead of the competition by pissing off your client base. This is expressly the reason Uber succeeds and the shithole businesses that are cab companies are declining in business. I sure hope you aren't a spokeman for yellow cab.

That's quite a leap comparing a cab driver to a pharmacist. QUITE a leap.

You have to go to school to become a cab driver?
You're going about this the wrong way. Stop asking for Über to be regulated as if it were a cab company and ask for less regulations on taxis.
