You've twice thrown a couple of acronyms his way, and he immediately deflected and basically said "I don't need to know anything about this subject, but I know" in both responses.

I like talking to people who actually know what they're talking about on these topics, but the clueless ones with the big opinions are rough. But it has made for an entertaining morning on a mostly quiet day.

I don't know what point you're trying to make by showing a more diversified energy mix.

We’re you not wanting to ban bet someone that the grid would absolutely be better in 5 years?

And you don’t get the point of a graph showing steadily declining power generation filled with the types of fuels that California wants gone? And that the other sources have been flat the past couple of years? And that they could absolutely not immediately find the capacity right now they had nearly two decades ago?

Really? Seriously?

California is. And you are trying to battle extremely hard for them.

Sorry. You should have qualified it with “areas that doesn’t affect my argument in a negative way”

Hasn't happened to me. Got two vehicles over 100k with more than 10 years on the road. Looking good so far.

My parents have had engines that died in cars above 300k though, so I do know that it happens. At 300k I'm not sure you can complain though.

US News and World Report.

Number 46 in energy infrastructure… number 35 in reliability by this publication.

So nope and nope

Just arbitrarily weighted feelings is your data? Show me some actual per capita grid uptime.

Earthquakes and wildfires. California's grid is miles ahead of Louisiana's.

Really! Seriously!

Do you legitimately think you are making a negative point about the reliability of their grid by showing it growing more diverse? frick you're dumb.

I qualified it with "significant". A sparsely populated corner of a sparsely populated state is not significant. I honestly don't know what kind of idiot is required to try to argue otherwise.

But California is the “model” state of the swing to green. So they are the harbinger of things to come.

When you say no one is saying nuke and O&G should go away… yes they are. Entire European countries are. And their trend follows California’s trend.

It has also been Europe’s goal to phase out nuclear and coal and cripple natural gas. Then add less energy generation from renewables than you’ve taken away. Same as California. Same as what the Democrats envision for the remainder of the country.

All while watching China do what the hell it wants by the way.

You were having similar reading comprehension issues yesterday in the company valuation thread. Is your time of the month getting to your head or just that Ms education?

Diverse? What does diverse matter? Ahem. Listen. Turn off all distractions. Make your space quiet. You ready to listen?

THE POINT IS SHOWING THEIR CAPACITY IS STEADILY DECLINING.

How is that not a negative point? Explain before you red herring again.

Who gives a damn if it’s diverse IF IT’S LESS RELIABLE. “I can’t run my AC for most of the summer like I want… but by damn my energy production is diverse!!”

Didn’t you just blast someone saying they were too lazy to search?

Citizens Utility Board.

California not in top 10 nor in the top half of the states regarding reliability. Near what the previous publication ranked them.

Boosted in overall rank in this list due to “Environmental Rankings”
